Well, what can i say. It is so hard to describe how much freedom and fun I am having. what a trip. and it has just begun. every day i wake up and am so thankful that I have the opportunity to travel like this. every day is such a blast! I have a theory. it´s called the million moment theory. I believe life is made up of a million moments. And it is up to us to make sure each moment is special. I am having lots of great moments!

I attended one more run of the bulls. this time i sat safely in the stands. this morning the bulls were very mad and charged at everyone in the ring! it was crazy. the guy next to me kept giving me red wine out of his bota bag. I must get one of those. you can go to bull fight sober and when you leave you will be drunk from the people sharing their drinks with you. Oh, btw, at a bullfight.....the nose bleed seats are the best seats as Tommy and I found out!. The people up top simply pour gallons of sangria onto the people below. it rains down the whole time. the bull fight was quite amazing......graceful and brutal. not sure how i feel about it....but respect the tradition and showmanship.

After pamplona i flew to Madrid and called my friend hugh shields. Hugh had an apartment up in the mountains and invited me to come by. I changed my plans and headed to segovia on the train. Hugh is staying in a cute little town by the name of ¨La Granja¨. Like La Grange Georgia. but not! Hugh put me up in an extra room. the beds had these hilarious pink shag covers. like pink fuzzy dice. i felt like I was sleeping in barbarella´s bedroom! wroooouuugh! Had a great time and spent most of my time relaxing and hiking in the mountains. The terrain is like in Godfather part II when Michael goes to italy. But no body guards! One day we packed a lunch and ate high atop a mountain near a water fall. Beautiful! Also, saw the aqueduct the Romans built which is magnificent. A marvel of engineering. sampled some home cooked spanish food and homeade wine from some of hugh´s friends.

Then it was off to ibiza for some mayhem. I arrived with no accommodation in peak season. Kinda sucked...but is the price you pay to have flexibility allowing me to take a jaunt up to segovia.... tramped around the town for a bit with no luck. Then, ¨allo kiwi¨! I turned and was invited to sit down for a drink. Arno (German guy who looks like Roger Moore...even had an english accent) and his wife maureen who is a new zealander! had a cerveza and heard stories of how in the 40s he had travelled from berlin to london without spending any money in the military. quite a challenge i would think. They are sailing around the med. Great people.

Later in the day I found a place to stay. A really cute little Hostal. nice room and clean. its located towards the end of the pier in Ibiza city. I headed across the island to San Antoni to try to track down my friends Jerry and Lisa who were in town. Took the bus and wandered up the hill and Lisa yells my name from a balcony! Cervezas, dinner and off to a club. For those who don´t know, Ibiza is the center of the electronic music world for the summer. Truly amazing here. It is a beautiful island with amazing beaches and at night the place comes alive. Dozens of clubs rage all night with hundreds of dj´s here from all over the world.

Went to a great beach called Sa Trincha. It is a nude beach.with soulful house music. It is really chill but is a bit crowed now as it has become very popular. I found another beach @ Calle Jondal. There is a restaurant called particular beach. This place is a MUST! A german DJ named Teppe is spinning really phat chill tunes while there are great hammocks to sleep in and terrific food at tables under some nice trees. I have been to this beach every day since I have been here.

Some other places to check out when you get to Ibiza:

• Budda bar. Cool décor and nice music. Go here for dinner at around 11pm.
• The Caves on the north part of the island
• K 5. Good club with lots of outdoor areas and is the anti-megaclub
• DC 10 afterhours club (doesn't get going till around 9am)
• The Castle in Ibiza Town. This is really cool at night.
• Pacha - nice club with pleasant surroundings.
• Jockey Club @ Calle Jondale - Great Paella!
• Café Del Mar @ sunset. (around 9pm). Great music and fire twirlers and of course majestic sunsets.
• La Marina Hotel. Inexpensive rooms with views looking over the harbour.

Naturally, I have decided to stay in Ibiza a few more days. Chat with you later!
